Quem se casou com Joan of Acre?

Joan of Acre (April 1272 – 23 April 1307) was an English princess, a daughter of Edward I of England and Eleanor of Castile. The name "Acre" derives from her birthplace in the Holy Land while her parents were on a crusade.

She was married twice; her first husband was Gilbert de Clare, 7th Earl of Gloucester, one of the most powerful nobles in her father's kingdom; her second husband was Ralph de Monthermer, a squire in her household whom she married in secret.

Joan is most notable for the claim that miracles have allegedly taken place at her grave, and for the multiple references to her in literature.

También conocido como Gilbert de Clare “El Rojo” o "El Conde Rojo", probablemente por el color de su pelo o su ferocidad en la batalla.​ Poseyó el señorío de Glamorgan, uno de los más poderosos y pudientes de las marcas señoriales de Gales, contando además con unas doscientas mansiones inglesas.​

Ralph de Monthermer, 1st Baron Monthermer (c. 1270 – 5 April 1325), between 1297 and 1307 jure uxoris Earl of Gloucester and Earl of Hertford, and between 1306 and 1307 also 1st Earl of Atholl, was an English nobleman, who was the son-in-law of King Edward I. His clandestine marriage to the King's widowed daughter Joan greatly offended her father, but he was quickly persuaded to pardon Ralph.
